Dear Members
It is a great honour and privilege for me to take over the role of President of Ladies Study Group for the year 2023-24.
I am grateful to the Governing Body for believing in me as I look forward to doing my best. I hope to live up to the excellent standards set by the previous Presidents at this prestigious forum.
At LSG we continue to focus on our ethos of learning and we encourage women to channelize their talents and engage in conversations and initiatives to bring change in society. I am pleased to share the theme for this year, which is -
“CREATE, COLLABORATE, CELEBRATE”.
Let us create a world of progressive learning, innovative ideas and stronger bonds that have a positive impact on our society.
Let’s collaborate & work together to ensure that we have inclusive growth and gender parity as we chase our dreams to transform from a developing nation to a developed nation.
Let us celebrate & applaud successful individuals, organisations and corporates, for their excellence and achievements, which inspires us and will also inspire our generations ahead.
I request all members to kindly share any thoughts or suggestions for the upcoming year and look forward to your support.
Lets us work together to create a learning experience, collaborate our ideas for bigger Impact on society and celebrate the spirit of life.
Warm regards
Bhawna Agarwal
President 2023-24
Speaker: Shri Gaur Gopal Das
Venue: Pala, ITC Sonar
The members and guests of the Ladies Study Group were audience to one of the most invigorating talks by Shri Gaur Gopal Das, an Indian monk, lifestyle coach and motivational speaker. Swamiji unabashedly put the women on top of the pyramid, who do not need empowerment as she is the 'Shakti'. His advise to all present was to 'live in the moment', enjoy the 'safar' or else he believes we will 'suffer' in life! He reiterated in the mantra of 'self-care', before taking care of others. "One does not need to be like an icecream, which melts in selfishness but be a candle, which gives light to others in its selflessness."
He advocated the virtues of patience, tolerance and forgiveness, as there is no one who is perfect. His advise is to share one's pain and grief with loved ones to gather support and thereby bring balance in our lives; although he believes there is no perfect balance!
The LSG forum witnessed a brainteasing magical event, which often had them in splits at his witty humour.
