| Incredible Rajasthan – February
14 to 18, 2007 |
|
 |
|
The thrill of chasing blackbucks
on the open plains followed by uplifting moments of chanting Om on
the dunes, as the sands of the desert turned dusty gold at sunset.
Soulful evenings spent listening to Rajasthani musicians playing lively
folk music and everyone joining in. A spiritual charged day at the
Durgah of Ajmer Sharif and at Pushkar, where we scooped the sacred
healing waters into our hands as we chanted the mantras.” -
Sangita Todi
A stunning blend of sights, sounds, smells and emotions made this
trip to Rajasthan special – what may sound like a sensory overdose
has really provided me with a glimpse into a Rajasthan that is culturally
diverse and historically fulfilling. I was part of varied age group:
in hindsight I realize that it was this experience stand out. -

All the goldies made the oldies feel
that they are still youngies. The best part of the programme was the
combination of the visit to our heritage and religious places. The
Khimsar sand dunes are out of this world. I have not seen such a serene
and beautiful place ... the entire trip eas so thoughtfully planned
... Shashi Agarwal
From the majestic forts, the ‘ji hukums’, the vibrant
clothing, the lehengas, their enchanting dance ‘Ghumar’,
their quaint musical instruments and the authentic food … well
the list is almost endless, but we were made to feel like royalty
at every step of the way. - Aanupamaa Jalan |
